Deep in the forest there lived a tiger and her cub. One day while the cub was fast asleep the tiger decided to go hunting.
A playful monkey turned up and started teasing the cub by pulling his ears and tail.
The monkey even got a coconut shell and covered the cub's face with it.
Then little cub got annoyed and growled at the monkey and scared him away.
Just then the cub noticed a brightly coloured frog jumping away from him.
The tiger cub gently followed him, and followed him into some bushes. Without noticing the cub fell into a pit. He tried many ways to come out. But was not successful.
The playful monkey appeared through the bushes. He saw the cub needed help. He looked all around and found a stick and placed it in the pit.
The little cub could not get a grip and then he looked around again brought a creeper. Poor tiger cub could not hold on to the creeper to climb up.
And then he looked around again and he got a long banana leaf as the tiger cub tried to climb up holding the leaf his sharp claws tore the leaf into pieces.
The playful monkey vanished and reappeared in no time with a coconut shell.
He started fetching water and pouring it into the pit. But the tiger cub did not like the idea and said "I don't like getting wet".
The playful monkey collected sand from river side and started filling the pit. When the pit was half full the tiger cub jumped out with happiness and thanked the playful monkey.
